Assistance
Our goal is to make this easy for you. That’s why we’ve designed the BioAg Gateway campus to build on the strengths of the industry, the city, the region and the state. The City of Madison, along with its partners, have created an economic development tool box for all BioAg Gateway projects with funds targeted to expand, stabilize and diversify Madison’s tax base, build the bioag industry, create and retain jobs, foster bioag partnerships and encourage entrepreneurship.
Various options for you and your business have already been developed, including Tax Increment Finance (TIF)—a popular, flexible local finance tool with a targeted focus in southeast Madison. TIF assistance can be provided for capital costs associated with land and building investments as well as major machinery and equipment. In conjunction with this TIF assistance, the City and its partners may utilize the following:
- City and Community Development Authority’s (CDA) development revenue bonds
- Capital Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) monies
- Madison Development Corporation (MDC) loan and debt equity programs
- State or federal programs
To top it off, we’ve chosen a location that’s easy to find, easy to navigate and just minutes from the university and the airport-see the Gateway to the Isthmus overview map (PDF) for more information . We’ll take the stress away and leave you with a clear path to do what you do best—help to create a sustainable future.
